The new Michigan State University Multicultural Center (MCC) marks a transformative step in encouraging inclusion, belonging, and equity across campus. Spanning 34,000 square feet, the MCC was intentionally designed to serve as a welcoming space for students of all identities, encouraging connection, cultural exchange, and access to critical support resources. This addition to campus reflects MSU’s continued commitment to creating environments where every student seen and supported.
Built with equity and functionality at its core, the MCC features universally accessible amenities such as a centrally located elevators, adaptable seating, and quiet rooms designed for prayer, mediation, and studying. The center also includes multipurpose rooms, a community kitchen, and a conference room. The spaces were shaped by student input and designed to promote collaboration.
