President of Centennial Electric

Troy Strang is the President of Centennial Electric, one of the leading commercial and industrial electrical contractors in Lansing and the surrounding areas. As President, Troy oversees many aspects of Centennial Electric’s growth and strategic planning. This includes overseeing the project management division, reviewing future projects and expansions, and managing the finance department of the business. Troy, along with former business partner Scott Whitaker – now retired – founded Centennial Electric in 2006. Troy has 30+ years of experience in the electrical industry dating back to the late ’80s. Prior to starting Centennial Electric Troy went through the IBEW Apprenticeship program and later ran work as a field foreman and later a Project Manager at Delta Electric for 10 years. Troy obtained his Associated Degree in Electrical Technology from Lansing Community College in 1988.
In addition to his efforts at Centennial Electric, Troy volunteers his time on the IBEW/NECA Apprenticeship Board and has maintained an active membership in the National Electrical Contractor Association (NECA). Troy enjoys spending time with his friends and family both working on the family farm and spending his summers on the lake.
